The In-Lieu Squatting Device
This device fits around regular toilets and enables a squatting posture for bowel evacuation. Squatting for defecation is what humans mostly did until about 150 years ago when sewer mains were installed in London.
75% of the world's population still squats, and you may have noticed that young children naturally adopt this position.
Sitting, on the other hand, has been shown to contribute to many bowel and bladder ailments, such as haemorrhoids, constipation, prostate problems, and incontinence.
The sitting posture evidently 'kinks' the last section of the colon, and hinders full emptying of the bowel.
Wallace Bowles, the inventor, became interested in the beneficial effects of squatting when working on a rural property with no toilet facilities.
With no option but to dig a trench and squat, he noticed a marked improvement in the pelvic and bowel area after just a few days.
That set him off on a voyage of discovery.
As he says, good health is not only about diet, it's also about good elimination. "Not only are we what we eat, we're also what we don't excrete".
